Jamie Giovinali, LPC, CCTP, is a licensed professional counselor and a certified clinical trauma professional practicing at Pioneer Counseling and Consulting, which has locations in Canonsburg, Washington, and Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania. 

Jamie has always been drawn to the field of counseling, with a deep commitment to supporting individuals as they explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in order to make meaningful changes and find effective solutions. With a background as a pediatric infant mental health specialist and behavioral therapist, she has worked with individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, and adverse life experiences.

Jamie’s clinical experience spans pediatric, adolescent, adult, and family trauma, which has further strengthened her dedication to helping individuals navigate the impact of trauma and adversity. She believes that learning to recognize and understand healthy emotions and thought patterns is a critical step toward developing healthier behaviors and promoting long-term healing.

Rooted in a psychodynamic framework, Jamie’s therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She draws from a variety of evidence-based modalities, including play therapy, cognitive processing therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and emotion-focused therapy.
